Korean artist's soundcloud..
As a result of observing the Sound Cloud of genre musicians in Korea,
I found one thing in common. (There are only a few..)
The fact is that most people don't remake other people's music at all.
They work hard on making my own track, making mixes, and reporting with my friends.
They all have their own tracks, their own albums, and their own mixes, but rarely do remakes of someone else's music (who lives too far away or has already died, without their own interests).
I think this is also in contact with the rare phenomenon of people translating other people's music-related reviews, but because the cover song has the original, the copyright is on the original author, and it cannot be his own original. Even if you work hard for 100 days, your performance as an artist is not enough. Cover is hard to become a musical career. It's not a very useful act for an artist.
On the other hand, my favorite musician, Aidan Baker, has only released an album covering other people's music (My Bloody Valentine, Codeine, Elliott Smith, Swans, Kids In the Hell, A-ha...). Recently, he participated in the Coil Tribute album and made the cover song where are you? (although it was more individual than the original song), magnetic north.
Favorite musician Rodelius recently participated in the Bach Tribute album, even at the age of 80s, where his music career is over 50 years old.
Second-favorite musician Roy Montgomery also posted a ton of other people's music covers on his personal YouTube for a while, but recently released a remake album, That Best Forgotten Work, collecting only a few of the covers.
